Summer Camps

SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS

Basketball Camp

Registration will open March 1st!

This summer we will be hosting two separate weeks (July 13-16 and July 20-23) of basketball summer camps consisting of 3 available sessions!  The three sessions are separate from each other, and you may register for multiple sessions by completing the separate registration forms. Instructor to player ratio is usually ~12:1.

The camp instructions will be geared to the appropriate ages of the children.  The camp is for children 5-14 (the age cut off is June 1st). The younger ages will have drills that are more "fun" in nature for this particular age range, while the older children will have more technical drills to improve their skills. Our Sports Assistant, Matt Wetzel, will be leading all the beginner/intermediate sessions.

We ask that you meet in the lobby outside the gym Monday morning between 8:40 - 9:00 am for check-in, and then closer to 9:00 am the remaining days.  We will have someone there to check in your children as well as to answer any questions or requests that you may have. Please have your child wear shorts, t-shirt, and either basketball or running shoes.

Lastly, if you know of any other families that may be interested in being a part of this camp, we would love to have them join us as well.  Registration for week 1 will remain open until Sunday, July 12th at 11:59 pm. Registration for week 2 will remain open until Sunday, July 19th at 11:59 pm.

We are looking forward to being able to work with your child for that week on basketball, as well as to be able to share with them the truth of God's Word!

The cost for the camps is $95.

Week 1: Beginner/Intermediate Camp -

This camp will be for players who are still developing a love for the game or are at a lower skill level. Unless your child has played multiple seasons of organized basketball, this is the camp for them! We will cover the essential skills of basketball including dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defense.

The morning session July 13-16th (M - TH) will be from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm each day, and the afternoon session will run from 3:30 - 6:30 pm each afternoon. Historically, we have had fewer participants in the afternoon session. If we fail to meet the minimum number of registrations for the afternoon session, all who registered will receive a full refund.

Week 2: Advanced Camp -

The advanced camp only takes place as a morning session July 20-23rd (M - TH)  from 9:00 - 12:30 pm each day. There is no evening session being offered the week of July 20-23rd. This camp will be geared for players who are more advanced, and looking to take their game to the next level. If your child has played multiple seasons of organized basketball, they will be challenged, but fit well in this camp. We will cover the essential skills of basketball including dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defense just like in our basic's camp, but at a much more challenging level. We will also be running agility ladders, slide drills, hurdles and other drills that will focus on their footwork, stability, and stamina in relation to the five essential skills.

Soccer

Registration Now Open!

We will be hosting summer soccer camps led by Sean O’Connor  along with a number of other high-level instructors, for players ranging from 4 -18 years old. There will be three separate sessions: June 22nd – 25th (morning session 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and evening session 5:00-8:00 pm), and June 29th – July 2nd (morning session only from 9:00 – 12:00 pm). The groups will be split by gender and age, again this year we are offering an additional “young player” camp for children 4 & 5 years old (9:00-10:30 am for morning session for the week of June 10th-13th for these 4 & 5 year old players).  There will not be a 4 & 5 year old camp the week of 29th – July 2nd. The camp training/instruction will be geared to the appropriate ages of the players.  The younger players will have drills that are more “fun” in nature, while still encouraging development, for the particular age range, while the older players will have more technical games and drills to improve their skills at a higher level.  The 12 hours of camp training will cost $95 ($55 for the younger age camp).
